- Course: World History
- Dates: June 18-21
- Instructor: Sharon Cohen, Springbrook High School, Rockville, MD, email - sharon_c_cohen@mcpsmd.org
Although my students say I'm too partial to the Mongols, I will share
insights and strategies for teaching all 19 key concepts in the new AP World
History curriculum. I have taught APWH since it began in 2000 and have been
a College Board consultant since the beginning too, leading countless
workshops and summer institutes. At the Readings, I have been a Question
Leader and a table leader. I wrote the APWH Teacher's Guide for the College
Board, articles for apcentral.com, and edited the Special Focus book on
Latin America and Africa in the 20th century. I also can guide you to
success on the audit since I served on the committee that wrote the
guidelines and rubric.
