  • A native and resident of Richmond Virginia, Ann has taught in area public schools and for the last thirty-nine years at The Collegiate School in Richmond. She has served on state committees including Virginia Junior Academy of Science committee, and The Fralin Biotechnology Center’s Educational Consortium at Virginia Tech. She has been a College Board reader and consultant for: one day teacher workshops, student AP Bio Review sessions, and week long summer workshops. She has received grants for research or equipment from the Department of Energy, an Arthur Brinkley Grant for Teaching Excellence, and an Alumni Grant for Teaching Excellence. She was the first recipient of The Massey Chair for Science Teaching and a recipient of 2002 Siemens AP Teacher Award.
